Last lesson of my Schoolism course.

Last fixes put in: The dragon has become blue, and lost a leg :) It now only has it's four arms. Other than that, just more polish and filters.

Hastur - The King in Yellow

This was done as a benchmark illustration for a friends' book. It was a hoot and a holler to do, and although I want to keep honing it, I better put it up as I haven't updated this blog for ages.

The River Man

So, this is my second addition to my school-forum's Folklore thread. Unfortunately the forum is down for the moment, so you're in luck people as you'll see it before everybody else!! (I know there's no one actually checking this blog, but now you are, and you'll see this picture before the others... unless the school forum is back up again soon, in which case others will definitely have seen it before you , thus rendering the last 58 words completely rendundant).

This is Åmanden.. (Danish for the River Man). He is actually not described as a tangible visible being, but more an entity. Every time someone drowns in the river or any body of water it is said that he or she was taken by the River Man. If nobody has drowned for the last year or so, it is said that the River Man says "The time has come, but I still do not have my man.." and suddenly one of the people who hears this runs to the river and drowns him or herself and no one is able to stop them..

The Abaia

This was a sketch for my school-forum. we decided to find folklore and depict it.
This polynesian Abaia, dweller of deep lakes, considers all animals in it as its children. Anybody doing any harm to the animals in the lake will be flooded by a tidalwave created by the Abaias massive tail.

My first post is.. erm.. old.

Ok.. so I'm interning here in Copenhagen right now, which means I don't have my wacom pad or scanner acces or anything, so I'll have to post my older stuff.. Feel free to drop a comment if you see stuff you like.. or don't I guess :D It's pretty much backward chronological.. newest stuff first.
Depsea drawings: Pencil, colourpencils and photoshop. Part of a themed drawing jam.

I just love this game too much to not draw my favorite character.. Axel Steel
This is the Ozmonkey.. I'm currently modelling it in supersculpey, but again I'm in Copenhagen, so that project is on standby right now. Plus it turned out a helluvalot different than I first imagined.
Classical drawing from the Drawing Academy in Viborg, Denmark. Very old..
